Molly Ker Hawn
Born in Sweden, Gita has lived in New York, Paris, and a tiny town in central Italy, though she's spent much of her life in New England. As a girl, she rode horses and typed absurd poems on her uncle's Olivetti Lettera 22.
She attended Yale College and New York University, where she earned a PhD focusing on Victorian literature and culture. As a lecturer at Princeton, she taught classes on fairy tales and monsters.
Along with her husband, son, and Maine Coon cat, Gita divides her time between a spooky Massachusetts village and the wild coast of Maine.
In each place, there are way too many books. Her debut novel, ENCHANTÉE, will be pubished in 2019 by Flatiron Books (USA) and Macmillan Children's Book (UK).
