Laurie Notaro

 Laurie Notaro has published ten books, including novels and essay collections, two of which (The Idiot Girls' Action-Adventure Club and It Looked Different on the Model) were New York Times bestsellers, and several  that were semi-finalists and a finalist (The Idiot Girl and the Flaming Tantrum of Death) for the Thurber Prize.  A former columnist and journalist for The Arizona Rebublic and, Notaro now lives in Eugene, Oregon with her husband and dog and refuses to leave the state until she encounters Bigfoot or a reasonably good facsimile thereof.
