Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé

Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé is a New York Times and IndieBound-bestselling author. Her debut, ACE OF SPADES, won the 53rd NAACP Image Award for Outstanding work for Youth/Teens, and the YA Books Are My Bag Readers Award in 2021 and was also a finalist for the 2022 William C. Morris Debut YA Award. She is also the author of the forthcoming WHERE SLEEPING GIRLS LIE and FOUR EIDS AND A FUNERAL.

Faridah is an avid tea drinker, a collector of strange mugs, and a graduate from a university in the Scottish Highlands where she received a BA in English Literature. She also has an MA in Shakespeare Studies from Kings College London. When she isn’t spinning dark tales, Faridah can be found examining the deeper meanings in Disney channel original movies.
