Kate McQuaile

Kate McQuaile’s debut novel, WHAT SHE NEVER TOLD ME, was published by Quercus in March 2016. Her second novel, WITHOUT A WORD, was published in late 2017.

Born in Drogheda on Ireland’s east coast, the setting for much of her first novel, Kate lives in London, where she has worked as a journalist for many years. She has received several international journalism awards for her energy coverage.

An alumna of Faber Academy, she says the “Writing A Novel” course made all the difference between having an idea for a novel floating around in her head and sitting down and writing it.
