Alison Scott
Represented by John Silbersack
Alison Scott was born in NYC in 1946, daughter of two writers (and sister of writer-to-be Justin Scott,) and grew up on Long Island’s South Shore.
A science major through school, she entered Harpur College (now SUNY Binghamton) to study anthropology, but drifted towards literature, reading Scottish History, Shakespeare, and Gaelic at Scotland’s Edinburgh University on a Junior Year Abroad.
Christmas, 1966, while hitching through the Highlands with her visiting brother, she met Clement Lister Skelton, actor turned monster hunter, in a village on Loch Ness side. March, 1967, Alison and Clem married.
Settled in the Highlands, they began careers as novelists. Fifty-eight years, two sons, three adult grandchildren, and a fair amount of published fiction later, Alison, though long a widow, is still there, still writing, and still enjoying that Junior Year Abroad.
