Stephanie Burgis grew up in East Lansing, Michigan, and now lives in Wales with her husband and two sons, surrounded by mountains, castles, and coffeeshops. Her first three middle-grade books were published as The Unladylike Adventures of Kat Stephenson in the UK and as the Kat, Incorrigible trilogy in the US. Her first books for adults, MASKS AND SHADOWS and CONGRESS OF SECRETS, are published by Pyr Books. Her new middle-grade series began with THE DRAGON WITH A CHOCOLATE HEART, published by Bloomsbury Children’s Books in 2017 and translated into 15 languages. It continued in 2018 with THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON HEART and concludes with THE PRINCESS WHO FLEW WITH DRAGONS. Stephanie is also the author of the acclaimed Harwood Spellbook romantic fantasy series for adults.

Stephanie’s newest novel for children, THE RAVEN HEIR, was published in 2021.
